2022 Performative installation
raw clay, silicone, water
Vessels from raw clay, which is not fired, but surrounded by a silicone structure is placed on the floor. Water is regularly poured into the clay vessels, causing the clay to soften and lose its shape. The objects themselves become performers by changing their form and material consistency. The elastic silicone shell, permeable in some places, does not prevent this process of dissolution, it accompanies it. Finally, the wet clay can be taken and made into a new vessel, while the silicone remains as a bag-like form.
Shown at the exhibition hall of the Academy of Fine Arts, Nürnberg
